OPM 54 · Third Reunion

Brazil

April 3 – 11, 2027

Nine days. Three destinations. A Brazil lived from the inside.

Between São Paulo, Trancoso and Rio de Janeiro, a journey built to reveal different rhythms, flavours, landscapes and ways of living the country.

Welcome to Brazil.

There is a Brazil that does not fit into photographs, maps or postcards. It happens in the meeting, in the energy, in the flavours, in the spontaneity, and in a way of turning every experience into something you keep.

A country that inspires, that surprises, and that leaves you wanting a little longer.

Come and live Brazil the way only those who get close ever understand it.

Welcome dinner

One meeting, four continents.

Every one of us begins this journey from a different point in the world. In Brazil all of those stories finally cross. The first moment together is the start of something that goes well beyond a trip.

See you at our welcome dinner. Dinner on the first night is at eight in São Paulo, and this is what o'clock that is wherever you are reading this.

Apr 3 – 5 · Two nights

São Paulo

Where everything happens.

A city made of encounters, contrasts and possibilities. Cosmopolitan, vibrant and always in motion, São Paulo gathers different cultures, histories and points of view in one place. It is where our journey begins.

Where you stay

Rosewood São Paulo

More than a hotel, the Rosewood São Paulo is the city translated into its most sophisticated form. Set in the heart of Cidade Matarazzo, it holds historic architecture, contemporary design, art, gastronomy and hospitality inside one of the country's most emblematic projects.

Every detail is built to make the stay part of the journey: rooms that stay with you, careful service, restaurants of the first order, and an atmosphere that balances exclusivity with authenticity. Staying here is beginning to discover São Paulo before you even leave the building.

Apr 5 – 8 · Three nights

Trancoso

Where time learns to slow down.

Here the sophistication is in the pace, in the landscape, and in the feeling of being far from everything that is urgent. Between preserved beaches, forest and stories that cross centuries, Trancoso reveals a Brazil that is light, elegant and deeply its own.

Where you stay

Fasano Trancoso

In the middle of the preserved nature of Itapororoca, the Fasano Trancoso translates the essence of the place through discretion, comfort and restraint. Built into the landscape, it combines contemporary architecture, natural materials and the hospitality the Fasano name is known for.

Luxury here shows up in the detail, in the service and in the sense of privacy. Between the sea, the forest and the quiet rhythm of Trancoso, every hour invites you to slow down. More than a place to sleep, the Fasano becomes part of the destination itself.

Apr 8 – 11 · Three nights

Rio de Janeiro

Where the landscape sets the pace of the city.

Between the sea, the mountains and an energy that never seems to settle, Rio turns the everyday into scenery. An intense, sunlit, spontaneous city where nature and urban life live together in a way that reveals a Brazil that is vibrant, elegant and impossible to mistake for anywhere else.

Where you stay

JANEIRO Hotel, Leblon

In the heart of Leblon and facing the water, the JANEIRO was chosen for holding what is most particular about Rio: beauty without effort, elegance without excess, and an almost immediate relationship with nature.

An intimate, contemporary hotel, deeply connected to the carioca way of living.

An invitation to live Brazil in the detail.

Across nine days, every destination, every stay and every experience connects to reveal different ways of living Brazil, with time, with depth and with intent.

  1. Apr 3

    Saturday

    Arrival

Welcome to Brazil. Make yourself at home.

    • A private transfer waits for you at Guarulhos airport at the hour your flight lands, and takes you to the hotel
    • Check-in at the Rosewood, and time to rest
    • 8pm: welcome dinner, paulista style
  2. Apr 4

    Sunday

    São Paulo in its essence

A day to feel the energy, the contrasts and the rhythm of one of the most vibrant cities in Brazil up close.

    • Breakfast at the hotel
    • City tour through the main points of the city
    • Group lunch
    • The chance of a football match in one of the capital's stadiums, to live the passion of the country of football from inside it. Brazilian clubs were born tied to neighbourhoods, to factories and to communities, so supporting a team here is almost always belonging to a story as well
    • Group dinner
  3. Apr 5

    Monday

    Meeting Brazilian entrepreneurship

    • Breakfast at the hotel
    • The technical space of Fundação Dom Cabral, where the Brazilian business world can be seen up close
    • Group lunch
    • Transfer to the airport and flight to Porto Seguro
    • Transfer to Trancoso
    • Dinner in box
    • Check-in at the Fasano
    • Bahian welcome cocktail. For centuries, Trancoso lived almost in isolation, and perhaps that is why it still preserves this rare feeling of time standing still
  4. Apr 6

    Tuesday

    A light day

    • Breakfast at the hotel
    • Time for the hotel itself: the pools that invite you to cool off, the outdoor sports with the sea behind them, or the wellness space for an unhurried hour
    • Lunch at the hotel
    • Late afternoon, up to the Quadrado de Trancoso. The Quadrado has existed since the sixteenth century and still holds its original outline, with the church at the far end and the coloured houses forming one great lawn of a square. A perfect way into the original story, and into one of the most beautiful sunsets in Bahia
    • Group dinner on the Quadrado
    • Back to the hotel after dinner
  5. Apr 7

    Wednesday

    Today is a beach day

    • Breakfast at the hotel
    • Transfer to the beach club, private to the group
    • A free day at the beach club on one of the beaches of Trancoso. Warm water, cliffs and long stretches of sand make Trancoso a refuge where nature and calm seem to keep the same pace
    • Group lunch on the beach
    • Back to the hotel
    • Beach party. There is no better way to say goodbye to this coastline than with a true Bahian celebration: high energy, even louder music, delicious food, and everyone leaving wishing they could move to Bahia
  6. Apr 8

    Thursday

Goodbye Bahia. Hello Rio de Janeiro.

    • Breakfast at the hotel
    • Transfer to Porto Seguro airport
    • Lunch on the way
    • Flight to Rio de Janeiro
    • Arrival in Rio and transfer to the hotel
    • Check-in at the hotel
    • Welcome to Rio de Janeiro. Even at night Rio surprises you with the view, so here the invitation is to open our leg of the journey with a welcome cocktail, carioca style
  7. Apr 9

    Friday

Technology, innovation, and plenty of samba

    • Breakfast at the hotel
    • A visit to the Museum of Tomorrow. The museum opens a reflection on the paths we are building towards the future, connecting science, technology, sustainability and the choices we make today
    • Group lunch
    • An exclusive experience at a samba school. In Rio, samba is part of the identity of the city: an expression that gathers music, dance, memory and belonging. During Carnival that tradition takes on an even larger dimension, as schools, communities, artists and percussionists turn months of preparation into a spectacle of creativity, emotion and Brazilian culture. More than a party, it is a collective celebration that helps tell the story of Rio and of the people who make the city move
    • Group dinner
  8. Apr 10

    Saturday

One of the Seven Wonders of the World

    • Breakfast at the hotel
    • A visit to Christ the Redeemer. High on the Corcovado, the Redeemer is one of the most recognised symbols of Brazil and one of the most striking images of Rio de Janeiro. With its arms open over the city, it gathers into a single view the force of the carioca landscape, the spirituality, and the feeling of seeing Rio from a perspective you find nowhere else
    • A visit to Sugarloaf. Sugarloaf is one of the most emblematic settings in Rio. Between Guanabara Bay and the ocean, its view reveals the city in its full dimension: mountains, beaches and architecture living inside one landscape. The cable car up completes the experience and turns the journey itself into part of the spectacle
    • Group lunch
    • Back to the hotel, and a free afternoon for the beach
    • Closing night: an invitation to say goodbye to Brazil in style
  9. Apr 11

    Sunday

    Home, or not yet?

    • Breakfast at the hotel
    • Transfer to the airport according to your flight time
    • Optional: a boat trip around Rio de Janeiro, on request and arranged around your flight time
    • Departures

This proposal may be adjusted to make the most of the group's time together.

Things worth knowing

A few things about Brazil that surprise people who arrive for the first time.

  1. 01

    One clock

São Paulo, Trancoso and Rio all keep the same hour, and Brazil has had no daylight saving since 2019. Nothing on this itinerary shifts under you.

  2. 02

    Ten neighbours

Brazil borders every country in South America except Chile and Ecuador. It is roughly the size of the continental United States.

  3. 03

    One language

It is the only Portuguese-speaking country in the Americas, which is part of why it feels like its own continent rather than part of Latin America.

  4. 04

The largest Japanese community outside Japan

It lives in São Paulo. The city you land in was built by Portuguese, Italian, Japanese, Lebanese and African arrivals, and the food shows it before anyone tells you.

  5. 05

The forest you will sleep in

The Atlantic Forest once ran the whole coast. What is left of it is where Trancoso sits, and it is a different forest from the Amazon entirely.

  6. 06

    Every World Cup

Brazil is the only nation to have played in all of them, and the only one to have won five. That is the context for the stadium on the 4th.

Before you book your flight.

  • It depends on the passport. American, Canadian and Australian passports currently need an e-visa, applied for online and usually granted in days. British, EU and most other passports do not. We will confirm the current rule for your passport in writing with the package, well before you book anything.

  • The best month of the three cities' year. São Paulo sits around 20 to 26°C, Trancoso 24 to 29°C with the sea at 27, and Rio 22 to 29°C with the summer crowds gone. The rain that defines the Brazilian summer has stopped by then.

  • Guarulhos airport in São Paulo is the main air hub, with direct flights from New York, London, Madrid, Lisbon, Dubai and Johannesburg, among many others. Please favour flights landing on April 3 by 6pm, so that we are all together at the opening dinner, in São Paulo, at 8pm on the 3rd.

  • No. Our team is with the group for the whole trip, and every guide, driver and host on the itinerary speaks English. Outside the hotels the language shows up less in daily life, and that is exactly where our presence makes the difference, keeping the experience smooth, comfortable and free of barriers.

  • Of course. Note it on your registration of interest and our team will be glad to help you with further experiences around this trip.
